Our community is growing. In September 2021, we registered BIMcommUNITY.Africa as an NPC (Non-profit company) in order to more formally extend our influence. Richard Matchett, Leon van Rensburg, German Bodenbender and Angela Lang are the Directors of the NPC. Their role is fiduciary.
And then in February 2022 we formally constituted our Board. The board is the governing body for the BIMcommUNITY.Africa NPC and their role is to provide foresight, oversight and insight:
Foresight - ensure that BIMcommUNITY.Africa remains true to its mission to Raise the BIM tide in Africa.
Oversight - exercise their fiduciary duties to ensure financial, legal, ethical and accountability compliance.
Insight - use their knowledge and expertise to grow the reputation of the community and strengthen its influence and reach.
The board’s term runs from February 2022 to January 2023.
